KEF T305 Pro Reviews

AVForums‘s review Edit

As a package, the KEF T 305 system is remarkable. All too often, clever engineering can deliver as many compromises, as solutions, to the problems it claims to counter. I've lost count of the times I've heard an 'invisible' speaker, where you ultimately excuse it's distinctly average reproduction with a qualifying "But it is very flat/small/pretty/etc". In ultimate terms, the only area that I felt was only adequate was the T 2 subwoofer. It's nimble, it's clean, a fine match for the system in general, but it could dig deeper with movies.

It certainly isn’t easy mixing style with substance, but KEF has done an admirable job of not letting the speaker’s form factor take precedence over the sound. The T301 and T301c speakers are especially attractive, and small details combine to give them an elegant, stylish appearance. However, KEF’s real achievement is the crafting of a speaker system that’s worth owning without regard to its physical application—and doing it for $2,000.
