Teufel Concept D 500 THX Pro Reviews

AVForums‘s review Edit

Good enough as budget music hi-fi, loud enough to bother your neighbours with movies and games, flexible enough to do away a lot of other boxes, wrapped up in a package for very, very sensible money, they go a long way to throwing off the label of a mere PC speaker.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Despite the obvious higher quality of sound available from this speaker system, it’s quite hard to picture the real-world audience. The conservative square looks with 1970s trim-ring details will be lost on PC-using style-seekers, and the generally decent sound and higher price may not be sufficient to win over those drawn by funkier-looking boxes sold for less than half the price. Meanwhile dedicated music lovers will be looking at component hi-fi systems with better fidelity. Nevertheless, if you can accomodate the larger sub-woofer, and indeed the larger-than-normal satellites, the Teufel Concept D500 can show impressive PC sound that still comfortably bests most other computer speaker systems.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

We'd be lying if we said that the step-up in quality offered by the Teufel Concept D 500 THX speakers from a less expensive stet such as the Creative T3 speakers is proportional to the step up in price, but if you're able to spend the kind of money Teufel is asking for the Concept Ds on a set of PC speakers you probably won't care about that. Such a person need only ensure they can accommodate the Concept D 500s' sizeable presence.
