2G 16gb. Awesome little toy, so many things you can do with it. Many apps to try and buy most for a reasonable price. Great for share videos and photos with friends and family. Beats carrying around a photo album. Fits into your pocket so you can take it anywhere. You can fill time waiting for appointments by playing games. Lots of fun
My iPod was my life for quite a while. I didn't have a computer, so I used it for all my entertainment needs. It was on constantly because I used it for music, video, gaming, and internet daily that the flash died, luckily under warranty :)
This has been one of the single best purchases i have made. This thing can do just about everything, including playing music! love the touch screens responsiveness and the fact that the screen rotates when you rotate it. Great OS too
I LOVE my ipod touch. Since I'm not with AT&T, I can't have an iPhone, but this is the next best thing. It does pretty much everything except make phone calls and mow my lawn. If only it could duplicate itself, then my husband and I wouldn't fight over who gets custody when one of us goes on a business trip! Its interface is intuitive and easy to use - so easy, my 2 year old goddaughter can use it to play her favorite games.
Had this before and I was surprised that something like this would come out. I get some money, I'll be buying this shit again. Bad ass, all around multimedia player for the people. Buy this and you'll never regret it.
I had a ipod touch about a year ago, then when I sold it for an Iphone I immediately wanted it back. It's practically a mini everything. The multiple apps and homepage make it easy to do whatever you want with it.
This thing is so incredible. Lot of my workmate admire it, so do I. You can do a lot of thing with it. A lot of apps. Maybe this is not just a multimedia pocket, this is just like a computer. Cause you can turn it into a server. What a great job Apple. Salute......
I've had this device for over a year, and I love the wifi, free apps, and ease of use. It's very functional overall, and definitely high quality. The touch screen is responsive, the sound quality is great.
My real complaints are: -The proprietary charge/sync port requires expensive chargers and many generics simply won't work -There is no way to fix a locked up application without resetting the settings for the entire device. -Every time there is a sizable software update, Apple charges for it
Bottom line, if you want wi-fi, this is probably the best you can find, but if you're just looking for a simple MP3 player with good sound, Sony and SanDisk models pretty much do the same thing, at half the cost.
guy it the same thing and alot cheaper, they do almost the same thing but on a smaller scale and isn't that why we all got an ipod touch in the first place, don't spend your money on a ipad it a waste
I think it does everything... i have never a music player gaming system or pocket computer as good as this. If you have something that can beat this tell me. ooo and the apps are amazing too. Apple has done an amazing job!
i really like this product. It is the best mp3 player ever. i like all of the really great apps. Te are so to play. I use it everyday and it never goes bad on me. I think the ony bad thing is that when you play it a lot the battery dies really fast, but the updated have helped it a lot.
do i really need to say anything? its the gadget of all gadget. love all of the apps and it just keeps getting better. to tell you the truth i use this more as a pda than an ipod and the safari wifi and internet browsing is ausome especialy on the go and they took the best of booth worlds! pda + ipod = ipod touch!
This is one way that Apple can connect with the nerd inside of me. I am a PC but I love to play with this wireless browser. My audiobooks are accessible. Connects directly to my stereo, can't beat the quality of the audio connection.

iTunes access with no computer

Cons
Apple's overbearing controls on software and the lewd catalog of apps left in the wake.
capacity is not enough to hold all of my music, video, etc. apps are great. i pick only free or 99c but still useful. free games are good to kill the time. it syncs my address book. it can browse web when wifi is available.
Awesome little toy, so many things you can do with it. Many apps to try and buy most for a reasonable price. Great for share videos and photos with friends and family. Beats carrying around a photo album. Fits into your pocket so you can take it anywhere. Works well for keeping track of your finances. You can fill time waiting for appointments by playing games. Lots of fun
I had an opportunity to get an iPod Touch 8GB for practically nothing. And I will be transitioning off my iPhone in October 2010, I thought what better way to have most of the iPhone functionality for multimedia until my DROID's Android OS supported more audio and video codes. And I must say that I have not been disappointed. My wife has a first generation iPod Touch and hers doesn't stack up.
I like the iPod Touch's battery sipping compared to the battery sucking of the iPhone: the iPod only needs charging every three or four days where as the iPhone must charged at least once during the day and always at night.
I have been able to use most of my iPhone apps on the Touch and understand that some of them require the GPS capability of the iPhone and for those I already have or soon will have the equivalent on my DROID (especially Inrix's Traffic! Pro).
this is OK but i don't like the sound quality of the speaker. also, idk why this doesn't have a camera yet. that would be nice also a better customization feature would be great if it didn't have to be jail-broken first. just out of the box customize
Apple iPod Touch is thin, smooth and very lightweight. Powerful (has a cpu with more Mhz than iPhone), and more ram free (no services for phone e data transfer) is the best portable game console.
You have all the Pros of iPhone without any Cons (if you want to take with you also a phone)
Well, I think we all remember back to that time when the iPhone was becoming a very huge deal, and several Verizon customers, including myself, were filled with envy, and probably drowning in our own drool. It was only a matter of time before Apple succumbed to our deepest desires and released the Ipod Touch.
Hear that? It's called the "IPOD touch" NOT the "iTouch" as I've so frequently heard it been referred to. It disgusts me. But enough of that, on to the review... ok, I may have lied, I'm mostly done typing now, and I think I'll just list the Pros and Cons.

Very responsive touchsreen
Thousands of useful Apps
Simple user-interface
makes you look real cool when people think you have an iPhone and then you whip out your actual phone to read a text and your friend looks confused until you say "what?" and they realize you have an iPod Touch not an iPhone and say "ohh
its ok i guess. its big screen is nice for watching videos. slim compared to the ipod. lacks a camera. for 1st and 2nd gen ipod needs updated in order to play or run newer, better apps or games. has a nike+ipod that doesnt work with my nikes that i got, ontop of that you cant run with it without having to hold on to it, are band suck for it. i cant got to the gym without having to scratch it. i dont recemmend this to anyone.. if anything just get a ipod shuffle if you plan on just listening to music while working out.. other than that... its a waste..
I really love my Touch! It is really nice and very easy to use. I have the 16GB model and it holds most of the music I regularly listen to, as well as a few movies with room to spare. I opted to upgrade to OS3, which I love. The only thing I would love to have is an FM radio. (And I am pretty sure that the next gen will include one. But I will not get a new one just for a radio.)
i use my ipod every day, if its to listen to music, or just get on the internet through wi-fi. it is an amazing device for it not being the phone, i would highly recommend. so for those who are thinking about buying an ipod touch, you should.
the second-generation iPod Touch hardware is largely unchanged. Both the first- and second-generation iPod Touch share the same dimensions (4.3 inches by 2.4 inches by 0.31 inch), same glass-covered screen (3.5 inch), and same arrangement of headphone jack, dock connector, sleep button, and home button.
i love this thing. it is so great. im on my second one cause i dropped my first on in the water. the gaming on this thing is fantastic and like nothing else. there are so many apps and stuff to do with it. the internet is great and so is the whole interface.
For under $200 you can basically get a mobile computer, gaming device, mp3 player and video player. How can you beat that. There is not much that you cant do with this thing. If only the internet browser would ever be flash comparable, it would be unbeatable. You could have almost all of the web in your palm. If Adobe and Apple can ever reach an agreement, I think it will set apple in to a class of its own again. Right now other devices are really gaining ground. Someday I think Apple will have too give in, or they will left behind in the dust. But other than that its hard to beat the value.
