Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Sigma Pro Reviews

reghardware‘s review Edit

While surround tricks can give you a tactical advantage, I just didn’t like the Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Sigma headphones as much as my – yes, much more expensive – Razer Banshees. I want the bass to make my teeth vibrate when a boomer explodes near me and, even after ramping up my pink bass blobs to maximum in the control panel, despite being loud, the Creatives just don’t cut it the same way. Bottom end preferences aside, these are decent sounding gamer-spec cans featuring fairly convincing surround sound for the price, but you wouldn’t catch me undead in them.

Overall, the Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Sigma Headset does an excellent job at making you feel fully immersed in the sound environments it renders.

A good set of gaming headphones with a better-than-average microphone

bit-tech‘s review Edit

The Sigma a somewhat schizophrenic beast. If you connect it via its 3.5mm jacks, its bass is overwhelming, and so the Razer Carcharias beats it in terms of sound quality and clarity. However, if you don’t mind connecting the Sigma via its USB adaptor, gaining access to the Tactic(3D), it presents stiff competition to the Carcharias. Essentially, those wishing to connect via a sound card are better off with the Carcharias, while those happy to connect via USB should opt for the Sigma; it matches the Carcharias for sound quality, but also provides oodles of volume and a removable microphone too.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

At £90 the Creative Tactic 3D Sigma headphones aren’t cheap, especially as they are a one trick pony - a pair of headphones that you’ll only really use in front of your computer while playing games. We are impressed by the performance when it comes to speaking and gaming. If music is your main focus then there are plenty of other choices out there, but if gaming is your intention, then you won't be disappointed.

PC Pro‘s review Edit

They’re not good at playing music and the price is a little high, but the main success of the Sigmas is their ability to offer great in-game sound. They’re well-made, comfortable, offer a few nifty extras and are well up to the task of producing immersive sound.
