Samsung NC10 Pro Reviews

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

The Samsung NC10 Ecko Plus, despite its older Intel Atom N455 processor, is not a bad machine. The performance offered by the hardware is not stunning, but for simple office applications it is all that is needed. The matt case, the up-to-date wireless technology as well as the powered USB 2.0 port are all points in its favour. The matt screen and the comfortable keyboard (though some keys are too small) both add to the positive impression.

Samsung's NC10 is easily the best netbook here, as long as you don't mind a slightly larger-than-average netbook. It has a big hard disk, long battery life and a comfortable keyboard, all for little more than £300. It's the one to buy unless you want a 3G-equipped model or one with an SSD, and wins our Best Buy award.

The Acer Aspire One has a great keyboard but poor battery life. The Asus Eee PC 1000 has a great runtime but a just-too-small keyboard. Anyone who's waited for netbook makers to combine the best of these two leading mini-laptops into a single product have had their prayers answered, by Samsung with its NC10. All hail the new netbook champ.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

So, has the Samsung NC10 been worth waiting for? Clearly the answer is yes. While it does nothing new, it takes all the proven good points of other devices, tightens them up and delivers an excellent package at a great price. It'll be interesting to see how other companies respond but for the time being, Samsung has set the benchmark for 10-inch Netbooks and set it high.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

As fantastic as the Samsung NC10 sounds it’s not all plus points. The touchpad is a touch on the short side, making internet browsing a little trickier than it could have been. It does come packed with a fairly hefty amount of Samsung related bloatware too. All of which can be easily removed, but it makes that first hour of use not quite as fun as you’d have hoped.

Maximum PC‘s review Edit

The Samsung NC10 is a pearl-white clamshell with a chrome-like strip running around the outer edge of its base. It has a 10.2-inch, LED-backlit, anti-glare monitor; a 1.3MP integrated webcam; 1GB DDR2/667 RAM...

PC World‘s review Edit

Samsung's NC10 isn't just a netbook--it's a series of interesting choices. It scores a couple points with a good screen, great battery life, and keys sized appropriately for human hands. However, before we rip into this review, you should be aware that a better, more satisfying model--the Samsung N110--is on the scene as well.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

Following the Samsung Q1, a 7 inch UMPC, that is a combination of a PDA and a tablet-PC, the NC10 is the first try from Samsung to catch hold in the netbook division. The Korean manufacturer obviously wasn't short of know-how because with the NC10 they present a netbook which is absolutely capable of competing, which above all does justice to a renowned Samsung quality trait – that being the very remarkable design.
