EVGA P55 FTW Pro Reviews

www.legitreviews.com‘s review Edit

The EVGA P55 FTW is the serious overclocking contender of the roundup with plenty of features targeting the overclocking enthusiast niche. Factor in the ECP module, E-LEET, and the ease of overclocking and the P55 FTW is my choice. Priced at an acceptable $205 and equipped with a 3 year warranty, the P55 FTW is a well rounded enthusiast option.

hardwarecanucks‘s review Edit

In the end we found the EVGA FTW to be an excellent board, packed full of the features we want, at a reasonable price. For overclocking everything went smoothly and frustrations (which are common when overclocking) were virtually nonexistent which is more than we could ask of any board. The FTW should appeal to users from basic to mainstream to hard core enthusiast as it has something for everyone. For a user looking to save a few dollars without sacrificing much there is also the P55 SLI or for a power user that must have the absolute best of the best there is the P55 Classified but if you are looking for the best possible board for your money, it should be the FTW at the top of your list.

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

EVGA P55 FTW mainboard is one of the most mysterious and little-documented mainboards that we have tested so far. It only reviews or your own personal experience that will reveal information about additional onboard controllers, the use of independent power supply though one of the eSATA connectors that led to fewer USB ports (13 instead of 14), the use of three independent BIOS chips and ATI crossfire support. Unfortunately, there is no information about most of the onboard jumpers. Maybe there are more hidden or unobvious features of EVGA P55 FTW that we failed to discover, but in the end we are users, just like everyone else, and not spies. When we met EVGA P55 FTW it turned out to be a mystery, but we would rather see a temptation.

tweaktown‘s review Edit

EVGA has a reputation for high-end motherboards and GPUs; we all know this. The FTW series is also known for performance and speed. But our experience with the P55 FTW was not what we thought it should have been. At stock speeds we did not see great performance. Even when we overclocked the board we did not get amazing results.

www.pcper.com‘s review Edit

We'd like to thank our friends at EVGA for providing the P55 FTW for our review today. We had a lot of high expectations for this mid-range, enthusiast motherboard that didn't really pay off where it counts. The board's performance numbers during testing were lagging a bit behind other vendors and we will go back and check for new BIOS improvements and other driver updates to see if we can get better results during our next round of testing. As for aesthetics, this board is absolutely sexy and something I would definitely sport at my next LAN party. The entire color scheme could work in any user's system and add a bit of flare that not many boards have.

TechSpot‘s review Edit

The EVGA P55 FTW is another motherboard that is hard to justify purchasing based on features alone. Although it is an excellent quality product like the Asus P7P55D Deluxe, it offers nothing more than the MSI P55-GD65 for $60 more. We did like the package associated with the P55 FTW as it has some cool features that will excite hardcore enthusiasts.
