Plustek SmartOffice PS286 Plus Pro Reviews

itreviews‘s review Edit

The way the PS286 Plus works is a huge improvement on flatbed scanning, but comes at a high cost. And with some decidedly unfriendly software, we're sure it's suitable only for those who don't mind going through a drawn-out set-up and getting-to-know you process. Plug‘n'play this ain't, but once set up it's a real time-saver - and step closer to the mythical paperless office.

The PS286 Plus feels too flimsy and its software is too poor for us to recommend it.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Plustek SmartOffice PS286 Plus lacks the portability of the Fujitsu, but it is far more functional overall. The TWAIN-compliant drivers are an asset, and the software bundle is well thought out. With a little training, this could be a very effective office tool, and although the price tag is far from low, we could see this performing an important function in small and medium-sized businesses.
