Xerox Phaser 6140 Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Xerox Phaser 6140V/N is a good, mainstream colour laser printer. It’s quick, produces good black and colour print - though registration may be a bit out - and isn’t unduly expensive to run. The version we tested doesn’t handle duplex print, but for roughly £20 more you can buy the Phaser 6140V/DN, which does. It’s good, and unusual, to have Adobe Postscript on a printer at this price and the machine is particularly versatile in the platforms Xerox supports.

This color laser is an affordable, no-frills performer for small-office or home-office users. Text, graphics, and photos are superior, but color printing can be expensive.

One line displays make it hard to navigate the printer menu on the device but the Phaser 6140 makes up for it with the helpful CentreWare Embedded Web server and fully functional print menus accessed from both web browsers and document. I was also surprised I couldn’t get the Phaser 6140 to manually duplex, but the users can upgrade this model to include duplexing so I feel that addresses that issue. All in all, the Phaser 6140 is a solid color laser printer and would be a great addition to any small office or workgroup on a budget.
