ASUS ENGTS450 DirectCU/DI/1GD5 Pro Reviews

benchmarkreviews‘s review Edit

As of March 2011, you can pick up the ASUS ENGTS450 DirectCU OC Video Card for $129.99 at Newegg.com. Throughout our tests the price per FPS of the ASUS GTS 450 DirectCU OC was consistently the lowest of the compared cards, add that to the potential speeds that this card can hit and you have an absolute smoker of a deal.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

In terms of pricing, the ASUS ENGTS450 DirectCU TOP comes in at US$139, which is about US$10 to US$15 more than reference editions. Considering the extra performance, effective cooler and impressive overclocking potential, we think its premium over reference cards is very well justified. All things considered, this is a solid all-rounder from ASUS and may very well be one of the best GeForce GTS 450 cards out in the market now.

motherboards‘s review Edit

In terms of the performance of the ASUS GeForce GTS 450 DirectCU TOP card, the card outperforms the standard reference design by a good healthy margin and in fact outperforms AMD’s HD 5770 across the board. The card has special features including the Xtreme Design features ASUS has introduced with it and a DirectCU cooler for excellent cooling and temperatures even while under load. The GeForce GTS 450 is a decent competitor to the HD 5750 but this card is solid against the HD 5770, which is slightly more expensive but as this is a non-reference design, the costs on this card should be higher than a reference design one.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

This nVidia GeForce GTS450 is factory-overclocked and well-cooled, making for a decent mid-range graphics card. Has nVidia re-learnt the art of providing a sufficiently good mainstream card and returned to the segment in force? Deposing the similarly-priced Radeon 5770 has got to be a preliminary statement of that intent.
