PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Automatic duplexing and wireless make the HL-2270DW a more-than-basic laser printer, but its toner costs are high.

Small, fast, and offering both Ethernet and WiFi support, the Brother HL-2270DW mono laser is a particularly good choice for a micro office with light-duty printing needs.

With improvements to its output speed, the Brother HL-2270DW improves on its legacy model and provides small businesses an efficient output device for high-volume black-and-white prints.

printercomparison‘s review Edit

What's a mark of a well designed and high functioning printer in this editor's humble opinion? Not being able to think of one con off the top of my head after testing. And even after I thought about potential cons for a while, I realized the only issue I had with the HL-2270dw was that I couldn't cancel a job or navigate printer settings, etc. using the printer's control panel (since technically the HL-2270dw doesn't have a control panel).

We can't fully recommend it based on the consumable prices we've seen. However, if they drop significantly, we could well be upgrading it to an award.

PC Pro‘s review Edit

We also like the fact that the HL-2270DW includes a full 1,200-page toner cartridge, which gives it a 200-page advantage over the Samsung out of the box. The high-capacity cartridge at 2,600 pages also gives the Brother the edge. Running costs are stiff, with these high-yield cartridges currently set at £70 inc VAT each. But this is early Brother pricing and we expect it to fall at retail. Provided that happens, the HL-2270WD looks extremely good value for a busy home office.

This budget-minded, basic mono laser is the perfect combination of price, performance, and feature set for small and home offices with moderate document-printing needs.
