Samsung SF310 Pro Reviews

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

Some buyers will be intrigued by features like Bluetooth 3.0, Sleep-and-Charge funcationality, and quick restarts, but more discerning buyers may shun the Samsung SF310 for its underutilized components and small hard drive.

The sleek Samsung SF310 offers comfort and speed and looks good doing it, but the touchpad could be better.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The issues above, coupled with the high price tag and the recent release of the second generation of Core i5/i7 chips from Intel, seem to conspire to work against an otherwise beautiful and well thought-out laptop. Not a howler by any means, but just not good enough.

reghardware‘s review Edit

At just over 2kg the Samsung SF310 isn’t too much of an imposition to lug around. It’s certainly capable, with a good battery life and attractive too. Earlier, I likened the styling to a classic American car, but it transpires this is no Cadillac, it’s more of an Edsel. Yes, that trackpad is a serious problem, so much so that instead of giving away an HD webcam with this laptop, Samsung should really have done a deal with Microsoft to offer a free mouse.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

Although the Samsung SF310 notebook appears largely unexceptionable when it comes to styling, display and peripherals, it nevertheless packs a sizeable CPU punch, and its dual role graphics system and good battery life will ensure it finds plenty of friends.

Apart from the underpowered graphics card and average screen, the SF310 a great all-rounder thanks to a long-lasting battery, decent performance and an excellent design.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Samsung has puts its eggs into the performance basket, gifting the Samsung SF310 with a nippy dual-core processor. But this is at the expense of essential high-quality parts such as a decent trackpad. If outright speed tops your wishlist, or you fancy the curvy side styling, you may be seduced by the Samsung SF310.

PC Pro‘s review Edit

Initially, we had high hopes for the SF310: it looks great, has superb battery life and throws nippy performance into the ring for good measure. However, it isn't the accomplished all-rounder that it needs to be to succeed, and at this price it just isn't refined enough to match the competition.

Relatively versatile and powerful while maintaining good battery life, Samsung's SF310 offers an attractive and unique design but is let down somewhat by average ergonomics.
