Verizon Wireless has informed us that it has begun pushing out Android 2.3 Gingerbread firmware updates for two of its Motorola smartphones. The DROID Pro and the global version of the DROID 2 are the lucky recipients. Users can download the update by going into the Settings section of their phones and heading to About Phone and then System Updates.
Among the improvements that users of both devices can expect are improved battery monitoring and power management, multi-touch keyboard support, the Gingerbread download manager, and a new user interface and color scheme. »read more
