Naim UnitiQute Pro Reviews

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Naim UnitiQute is a superbly constructed feature-packed music centre that can take on any audio source. As a one-stop music hub for smaller rooms, or those needing background-level volumes, this 30W amplifier really is made to measure. It could also lend itself nicely to a bedroom installation, if only it had a late-night snooze function or wake-up alarm. On top of a simply navigated text-line interface – gifted with a great graphical interface if you use an iPod or iPhone – the UnitiQute has easy-to-love sound quality that really engages the ear and the soul.

The UnitiQute is capable of delivering a big sound, and has amazing flexibility. Naim had better crank up production: this little system is going to be big.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The UnitiQute is very well thought out, well specified and, most importantly, capable of a strong sonic performance. To anyone with an existing network and their music already stored on a NAS drive or similar, there is very little that can match its performance and features, let alone the form factor at a similar price. The biggest issue that the UnitiQute currently has is not performance-related, but more down to the fact that currently the only real way of buying music that does the UnitiQute justice is via CD. This means that most would-be owners will have to purchase a format that the UnitiQute cannot play directly.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The UnitiQute is compact and dare I say it “cute” if rather heavy and rather expensive, but it is also a very flexible system, it is a device that can become the hub of an audiophile music system with high-quality audio at its core. There’s a caveat around the quality of any digital audio files you play or create and play because this system and the n-SAT speakers employed here, will reveal every nuance of sound be it good or bad. Highly compressed MP3s will sound, well, like highly compressed MP3s, so to get the best out of the UnitiQute then utilising Apple’s Lossless format from an iPod is the key and then, when the music file quality is good, the output from the UnitiQute is quite simply fantastic.
