ASRock P55 Deluxe Pro Reviews

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

So who will go for an ASRock P55 Deluxe mainboard for $180? What will determine this choice? An additional SATA3 card? Tomorrow similar controllers will appear on other mainboards and today there is no real use for them yet. So who will go specifically for ASRock P55 Deluxe? I think those users who already have an ASRock mainboard and have been very happy with it that’s why they would prefer to stay with the favorite brand. Well, as always, the choice is yours.

It is a very impressive motherboard in terms of performance. There are some layout issues that need to be corrected and the SATA 6G card is not quite the offering it seems on the surface. Still this product managed to convey the dedication that ASRock is showing to the enthusiast.

motherboards‘s review Edit

ASRock is not well known in the enthusiast community as they often have niche motherboards based on esoteric chipsets with unique features found nowhere else. This board is the first board I’ve seen with the new SATA 6Gb/s interface and has good features and great performance, making it a solid choice for a Hot Product award. The board overclocked to 4.0GHz from the default 2.66GHz on the Core i5 750 CPU, making it a decent overclocker as well. You also get features like a 16 Phase Power Design and Intelligent Energy Saver in the mix making this a solid board.

We like to thank ASRock for providing the P55 Deluxe for our review today. This board truly has a ton of features, and at $149, it is a steal for users looking to upgrade to SATA 6GB/s as well as triple graphics cards with Eyefinity or 3DVision. The dual heatsink mounting holes for two different socket types was a very nice touch as well as the board's overall layout and construction. The sturdiness of the board never came into question and it performed very well during most of our synthetic benchmarks.
