ASRock 890FX Deluxe3 Pro Reviews

hardwaresecrets‘s review Edit

ASRock 890FX Deluxe3 is one of the most inexpensive socket AM3 motherboards based on the new AMD 890FX chipset and, at the same time, brings an impressive number of features, some of them not even found on more expensive products, such as eight SATA-600 ports and four USB 3.0 ports.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Application and gaming performance is good, as for the most part is storage throughput. The only slight demerits are an underwhelming 297MB/s in the HDTach burst test and a marginally off-the-pace 12.0MB/s of memory bandwidth using default settings. But this is still an intriguing board with bags of features for a very reasonable price.

Creative, sensible design and plenty of features, although its quirks and price could put some off.

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

The first impression from ASRock 890FX Deluxe3 was highly positive due to active cooling system on the North Bridge and the CPU voltage regulator. The two heatsinks connected with a heat pipe get help from a small 40x40x10 mm fan. Once we used to be glad that heat pipes could let us get rid of such small and annoyingly buzzing fans, but heatsinks on 890FX-based mainboards get so hot that active cooling is most welcome here.

Cheap but competent and laden with features, a few minor quibbles are easy to forgive considering the ASRock 890FX Deluxe3's low price. If you're an enthusiast on a budget this motherboard is a great choice, and if you're after more than two USB 3.0 ports it's the only one – at least for now.

phoronix‘s review Edit

As time has passed, ASRock continues making motherboards cheaper than the competition, but their motherboards continue to become more and more appealing with their greater set of features and capabilities. Both the ASRock 880G Extreme3 and 890FX Deluxe3 are impressive products with both boasting more than enough Serial ATA 3.0, eSATA 3.0, and USB 3.0 ports while also boasting plenty of PCI Express slots, a modest and easy set of overclocking functions from the BIOS, heatpipe cooling, and other great features.
