Performance with the ASRock Vision 3D HTPC was excellent throughout our testing. The benchmarks showed the machine easily outpacing the other HTPC or mobile platforms we tested, but there is much more to the story than the benchmarks with a machine of this type. For an HTPC to perform well, not only does it have to offer good benchmark scores, but it must also offer a good home theater experience. In this respect, the ASRock Vision 3D HTPC also excels. The machine has a small form factor, is unobtrusive, easy to set up, and it's nice and quiet. The machine also played back every type of file or media we threw at it and it did so with no fuss. As an HTPC, the ASRock Vision 3D is excellent.

ASRock's Vision 3D home theatre PC is undoubtedly impressive. It's compact, well-built, and offers every connection you could ever need. It's powerful enough for most tasks, including light 3D gaming, while a mostly aluminium shell and slot-loading Blu-ray drive give it that premium touch. In fact, as an overall package it's probably the most desirable HTPC we've seen so far. However, you do pay for these luxuries, and there are cheaper alternatives that will perform similarly in core tasks like Full HD video and 3D Blu-ray playback.

Many of you are probably thinking, "I could build a much more powerful computer for the same price!" And you're right. However, it would be somewhere in the vicinity of 5x larger and consume more than twice as much power, so keep that in mind. For anyone seeking the ultimate small form factor computer, we've found it: the Asrock Vision 3D.

The ASRock Vision 3D series is the best pre-built HTPC kit on the market, and features all the makings for a ultimate home theater PC. What it lacks in demanding 3D gaming performance it makes up for in Wireless-N Wi-Fi connectivity, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports, and an ultra-compact footprint. The dual-core 2.40 GHz Intel Core i3-370M mobile processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT 425M graphics propel this system through any HD media you demand of it, and HDMI 1.4a output with 7.1 digital audio paired with THX TruStudio PRO adds excitement to the home theater experience... especially 3D Blu-ray movies
