MSI P6N SLI Platinum Pro Reviews

AnandTech‘s review Edit

The performance of the board is excellent, and in some ways beyond excellent. The stock performance is impressive across a wide array of applications and games but considering the time it took to get to market we did expect slightly better overclocking performance and a fully polished BIOS. MSI is close and we fully expect them to improve upon the overclocking while addressing a few other niggling issues but we have to wonder at what price?

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

I have to admit that MSI P6N SLI Platinum left very ambiguous impression. Although it is very well designed and uses high-quality reliable components that guarantee stable operation over the time, there are two things that may spoil this rosy future.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Compared to ASUS and Gigabyte, MSI has been keeping a relatively low profile in the motherboard market for the past half year. Most of the products we've seen out of MSI's stable have sported lean designs without all the flair and extravagance of their competitors. This has enabled MSI to keep a solid profile of products with strong performance, but unfortunately, they do not stand out in the motherboard 'features war'. The P6N SLI Platinum is another of MSI's mid-range performance to stick to this particular formula and after extensively testing the board, we can say that we're glad that MSI at least, have their heads out of the clouds.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

The MSI P6N SLI Platinum and Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI are basically identical in terms of performance. The MSI P6N SLI Platinum did demonstrate an edge in Lame MP3 encoding, but nowhere else. For all intents and purposes, we wouldn't choose one board over the other based on performance alone. The benchmarks just don't favor one board enough to declare a clear winner in the performance category.
