It certainly looks like there’s nothing the Nokia C5-03 can do in its defense. It’s hard to compete against the best – even if they’re yesterday’s best. But we do think the Nokia C5-03 has one thing the likes of Vivaz desperately lack. No, it’s not the free SatNav. It’s a family tree.

The Nokia C5-03 perfect for those wishing to dip their big toe in the smartphone water but aren't yet ready for a more powerful beast. If you're not overly concerned with apps, look for ease of use and enjoy keeping up with your friends on the go and on a budget, then pick up a Nokia C5-03.

In budget smartphone territory, the Nokia C5-03's Symbian S60 OS doesn't feel as out of its depth as it did when rolling with the high-end, but it still feels way past its prime. Add the also-archaic resistive touchscreen and the Nokia C5-03 starts to sound more out-of-date than power suits and tie-dyed T-shirts.

Softpedia‘s review Edit Like Unlike

Nokia C5-03 is just another mid-entry Symbian smartphone that might have been successful if other phones in the same price range wouldn't have been available such as: LG Optimus One, Huawei Ideos or even Samsung mini. However, for Symbian nostalgics who do not care about other mobile platforms, this might be the perfect answer in the affordable price range.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit Like Unlike

We appreciate Nokia's attempt to deliver an affordable smartphone but the dated Symbian^1 stands in the way of enjoying the almost full connectivity package and the 600MHz of processing power. Currently, the Nokia C5-03 is sold at a retail price of about $280, but the phone is still expected in many markets and with the wider launch we can expect its price to get somewhat lower. Nokia enters deeper into the budget and mid-range smartphone markets and with the C5-03 it has some good potential.
