Seagate BlackArmor 420 Pro Reviews

tweaktown‘s review Edit

The Seagate BlackArmor 420 that we looked at today offers acceptable data transfer performance for its price. To expect Thecus or QNAP performance from such a low cost NAS server would have been crazy and we knew that going into the review. The BlackArmor is marketed as an entry level enterprise part, but we feel it performs more like a consumer product and its price also reflects that. That said, you get what you pay for and as long as you're just looking to keep it simple then the BlackArmor has everything you need.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

This NAS drive is a little bulky, so ensure you have enough room to set it up. It's not too expensive, but home and more demanding business users should look elsewhere.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Seagate BlackArmor 420 is a decent NAS server. However, incapability to dynamically change the current RAID setup's capacity makes it much less desirable for either home or business users.
