HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Pro Reviews

itreviews‘s review Edit

While there's no doubt this printer offers a very good set of features for the money and combines this with above average performance, there are a couple of idiosyncrasies, like its slow duplex speed and reduced duplex page size, which may be a concern. If you don't print duplex of course, these problems go away.

Although the Officejet 6500A doesn't have an automatic duplexer, duplex scanning or Wi-Fi, it's a fast and capable MFP that covers the basics. If you want and MFP mainly for fast, cheap document printing, it's great, but the 6500A doesn't always produce the best scan or colour print quality.

This is a good, general-purpose home office all-in-one, though it's not without its idiosyncrasies. The long wait between duplex sides and the reduction in size of some pages is annoying, as is the overall size of the machine. However, its extra features, such as ePrint and fax, are unusual in a printer at this price and help keep it a contender.

The Officejet 6500A is a modest, though very good, all-in-one inkjet printer well-suited for small offices.

The positive words I had for the updated Photosmart Premium e-All-in-One I reviewed in December are lost on the Officejet 6500A Plus. Instead of improving on a previous model, I feel like the Officejet 6500A Plus isn't as solid as the Officejet models we've reviewed in the past. The addition of the ePrint technology is the one bright spot, it's a great feature and so easy to use.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The HP Officejet 6500A Plus e-All-in-One Printer was an average performer in both print speed and quality, with noticeably fuzzy edges in its text printing. However, if you’re looking for an inkjet all-in-one that supports Apple’s AirPrint and HP’s ePrint services, the HP Officejet 6500A is worth a look, if only because such printers are so few and far between.
