The BenQ's VA panel isn't as brilliant as IPS can achieve, but it's a very impressive step up from the ubiquitous bargain-basement TN panel. The BenQ VW2420H has strong colour and text, good viewing angles, and an attractive slimline frame. Add to this the £185 price tag, and this 24in screen is an attractive option.

Excellent contrast and great viewing angles, but colours are a little cold and power consumption isn't as low as other LED monitors.

PC Pro‘s review Edit

For a monitor that we hoped would deliver a taste of the high-end at a sensible price, the BenQ is only partially successful. It's clear that VA technology delivers serious improvements in some areas, but be aware that low price is compensating for some issues that are hard to ignore.

Not only is the VW2420H very slim and presentable, it performs extremely well and far better than its price alone would suggest. For the style and quality conscious, it's a winner.
