GIGABYTE GA-X38T-DQ6 (rev. 1.0) Pro Reviews

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Gigabyte was smart to replace their P35 DQ6 lineup with the X38 series, and have the GA-X38-DQ6 fill in the void of the GA-P35-DQ6. However, if you're looking to upgrade your rig to an X38 platform, we're going out on a limb to assume that you're an enthusiast that wants the newest, fastest and the best. And the only way to fully take advantage of the chipset as Intel has designed it for is to plan an upgrade path that will include PCIe 2.0 graphics and DDR3 memory.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

Gigabyte has done a reasonable job with the GA-X38T-DQ6 but it doesn't look overly impressive next to P35 models as we don't yet have PCI-E 2.0 graphics cards or 45nm processors, so we have to take a certain amount on trust, and that's never much fun. There are one or two annoying points with the layout, but in the main we were happy with this model.
