GIGABYTE GA-MA790FX-DQ6 (rev. 1.0) Pro Reviews

hardocp‘s review Edit

Gigabyte has a great product in the GA-MA790FX-DQ6 motherboard, but the sad fact of the matter is that this motherboard is bottlenecked in so many ways by the Phenom processor. As we have said before, the Phenom is a good product, but when you look through it wearing hardware enthusiast glasses, Intel’s Core 2 Quad product line is a ton better on so many levels.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Gigabyte, like ASUS focuses on one thing for their high-end motherboards, and that is total domination. Flagship motherboards like the GA-MA790FX-DQ6 offer everything you will want to have and we will say that it ties with the ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe in most aspects for performance, and features, two of the most important aspects of choosing an enthusiast board. Overclocking was also a very straightforward affair. The only problem we have with the board is its PCIe x16 slot configuration, which clumps all four lots in the same area. Otherwise, the GA-MA790FX-DQ6 would have gotten full marks.

Gigabyte comes out the winner; if you've gotta go AMD Spider, you might as well do it with as much style as possible.
