GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-DS4H (rev. 1.0) Pro Reviews

hardocp‘s review Edit

The Gigabyte MA790GP-DS4 is an incredibly solid and stable workhorse of a motherboard that has all the features a new motherboard should have, and at a nice price. Running your DDR2 RAM at 1066MHz should not be an issue and we are seeing many folks around the Net returning overclocking results of 3.1GHz+ with “Black” processors. Considering this board’s capability of handling high heat environments, along with the inclusion of DVI and HDMI outputs it might also be kept in mind for HTPC applications.

HEXUS‘s review Edit

Despite the GA-M790GP-DS4H's price precluding us from recommending it as a purely IGP board, it does warrant praise as a mid-range enthusiast board, offering improved overclocking - at least of Black Edition CPUs - over the 790X chipset thanks to the SB750's Advanced Clock Calibration functionality.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

By using ATI's newest chipset, Gigabyte has built a well featured board that makes an ideal - if a tad expensive - basis for a Home Theatre PC, as well as offering enthusiasts an ideal overclocking board for AMD's latest processors.
