The 790 FX and this board from ASUS are both outstanding products when you get to testing it, but the situation is that enthusiasts are going to continue to stay with Intel products for the time being. There quite simply is no reason to do otherwise. The AMD Phenom processors for this motherboard are good products, but Intel is just currently making and selling great products. The ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe motherboard is a solid enthusiast product that is lacking a new enthusiast CPU to put in it, unless you are just a hardcore AMD loyalist.

The M3A32-MVP Deluxe in ASUS tradition, is a heavyweight motherboard with lots of features, enthusiast settings, great build quality and generally excellent performance. The layout of the board is fine, and while we think the new memory cooler is a bit redundant in the wake of most enthusiast memory already featuring their own proprietary cooling, we didn't penalize it too much since it is an optional component. We did take half a mark off for Compatibility however, because ASUS has yet to implement the TLB fix, which may cause some problems for certain individuals. With a good graphics subsystem, the board is a perfect match for gaming setups.

The ASUS M3A32-MVP Deluxe is a solid product for those looking at building a new Phenom system or alternatively for those looking at building an Athlon64 X2 system with the ability to upgrade in the future, if either of those scenarios make sense to you at the moment.
