ASUS P5E3 Deluxe Pro Reviews

AnandTech‘s review Edit

The early package we received just showed a certain level of polish that our other X38 boards do not have at this time. Sometimes that means little, but it certainly left an impression on us in early testing. This is an impression that we hope continues with the retail package as this board is certainly worth a second look.

It really seems that every new ASUS board that comes through our doors have some really interesting to offer. From onboard flash memory and Sideshow devices, built-in RAM, hybrid water cooling compatibility, to PCI Express modding ASUS has been pushing all the right buttons. The P5E3 Deluxe with Express Gate is another innovative product in the market that we just can't ignore.

With the P5E3 Deluxe using the X38 Chipset, this motherboard supports CrossFire as well as PCI Express 2.0 with full bandwidth and a horde of other features. Though this chipset along with all of the other ASUS extras does place this motherboard at a premium. The ASUS P5E3 Deluxe WiFi-AP edition is currently selling for about $350 USD, and with the current prices of DDR3 memory, going this route will be quite an expensive system. If the price doesn't deter you, the P5E3 Deluxe is definitely a motherboard worth checking out.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

The Asus P5E3 Deluxe is a power user’s motherboard if there ever was one. This board sports a number of features not found on any other motherboard currently, including an embedded Linux-based mini-OS and integrated 802.11n WiFi. The P5E3 Deluxe also has a well appointed BIOS and it turned out to be an excellent overclocker. The only issues we had with the board had to do with its oversized cooling apparatus which crowds the CPU socket area somewhat and what will undoubtedly be a high price.
