GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD4 (rev. 1.0) Pro Reviews

bit-tech‘s review Edit

While the Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 is fundamentally a very good board, and we enjoy not having a-n-other black PCB to play with, it's just not as appealing as it should be. The price is a huge stumbling block given the quality MSI P55-GD65, so unless you absolutely must have a micro-ATX motherboard, the Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 is a stretch too far.

hardocp‘s review Edit

The Gigabyte P55M-UD4 is quite an achiever given its small micro-ATX form factor. That used to mean giving up performance, but obviously, as you can see here today, the P55M-UD4 does not give ground on the enthusiast front in either raw performance or overclocking. The P55M-UD4 can be had for around $140 with Free Shipping, so it shows to be a quite a value as well as a performer.

Whether you are looking to build out a pint-sized LAN box or a full-sized tower, Gigabyte has you covered with two great P55 options. With stellar performance already available at launch, these boards can only get better through future BIOS revisions.

This first Intel P55 Express board to catch our eye is cheaper than many competitors, but is still pricy compared with Phenom II-based PCs.

xbitlabs‘s review Edit

Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD4 performs at a normal level in nominal mode as well as during CPU and memory overclocking. Its power consumption is at about the same level as that of other pretty energy-efficient solutions, or even a little lower than that. So what would be the final verdict for this board? Of course, an excellent one!

www.pcper.com‘s review Edit

We had great expectations for this P55-based board and the P55M-UD4 did not disappoint us in any aspect of our benchmarks and other testing. The If we had any beef with it, we might have liked it to be a bit cheaper than its $149.99 price tag because smart PC enthusiasts are looking to drop their hard-earned cash on boards with USB 3.0 and SATA 6GB/s support right now. But, for those users who don't mind just using an add-on card for these features, the P55M-UD4 is more than ideal for almost every user's needs.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

The P55M-UD4 measure 9.6" x 9.6" square with an asking price of $150, making it one of the most affordable P55 boards we look at today. Just keep in mind that size and price aren't always good indicators of feature sets and performance. Just because the UD4 comes in a small form factor, that doesn't mean it comes up short when compared with full sized ATX boards in terms of features or performance.
