ASUS P7P55D Premium Pro Reviews

pcstats‘s review Edit

Bottom line, the ASUS P7P55D Premium is a solid motherboard by benchmark results most certainly, by overclocking tools and features for sure... but PCSTATS doesn't think it's a great buy at this point in time. Having tested a few of the P7P55D's different flavours, we'd opt for the ASUS P7P55D-E Pro instead. That platform is better bang for your P55 + Core i5 buck.

Highlights from this board include the presence of two SATA-600 ports, SLI support, an impressive 32-phase voltage regulator circuit, high-end audio, memory compatibility testing and extreme overclocking options, including switches to prevent CPU, memory and memory controller over voltage and an overclocking remote control.

Both boards are are full featured boards - each with a little something special. You can't go wrong with either of the boards if you choose to join the masses that have migrated to the Intel Core i5/i7 socket 1156 platform. Performance, looks, software and hardware tools, overclocking credibility, and the latest features make the P7P55D series boards the perfect platform. All you have to do is decide on the features you want!

The ASUS P7P55D Premium implements SATA 6 onto a P55 motherboard and gives it enough power to safely overclock your CPU to the moon! If you are looking for a high end motherboard to satisfy the gadget freak and overclocking fiend in you, then this is your stop.

motherboards‘s review Edit

ASUS has really gone the extra mile with their performance, overclocking, and the inclusion of the TurboV Remote which is a great feature allowing tweaking of the board without going into the BIOS. The P55 chipset with the Lynnfield CPU combination is an excellent compromise of high performance and a decent price while adding new features to the Intel platform. This board receives an Editor’s Choice award due to the features it offers and its excellent design.
