GIGABYTE GA-H55M-UD2H (rev. 1.0) Pro Reviews

bit-tech‘s review Edit

If you're after a budget motherboard for a rig that will be performing largely CPU-intensive tasks such as video encoding and image editing then the Gigabyte would be the board to go for. If you're making a gaming rig however, then the extra frames per second provided by the Asus would be a worthy trade off from the points lost elsewhere, but it's not like the H55-UD2H is slow. Either way, the Gigabyte H55-UD2H is a great board, but its brother the P55-UD2 is still a slightly better buy.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

When it comes to features, it's hard to say no to Gigabyte's H55M-UD2H, which seems to have all kinds of extras hardware-wise. From the presence of a DisplayPort to the rich variety of storage related options, it's remarkable that Gigabyte has managed to keep the price as competitive as it is. This is more so when one considers the cost of Ultra Durable 3, which entails having solid capacitors and extra copper in the PCB. Not to forget that it has decent utilities bundled to make it more user friendly for various needs. For its blend of features and price, we rate this board as the best of the bunch and the Winner of this roundup.

TechSpot‘s review Edit

Finally when it came time to try on a little overclocking the Gigabyte H55M-UD2H truly impressed, pushing the Core i3 540 processor effortlessly all the way to 4.60GHz. Unfortunately, while the Asus P7H55-M Pro also appeared capable of reaching this same frequency, we ran into a strange bug that would cause the system to continually pause for around 5 seconds whenever we moved past the 4GHz barrier. This is an issue we are still looking into, but so far we have been unable to put our finger on what is causing this strange behavior.
