RIM has just released an update to the BlackBerry Tablet OS that runs on the BlackBerry PlayBook. The update adds improved attachment support and new multimedia options to the platform.
Version 1.0.7 of the BlackBerry Tablet OS offers improved connectivity and attachment support for the BlackBerry Bridge application that links BlackBerry smartphones to the PlayBook. Users can now access ZIP files that are attached to emails, and extract and view the contents on their PlayBooks. The files themselves are stored on the SD card inside the BlackBerry smartphone, so when the phone is disconnected from the PlayBook, no files remain on the tablet.
