Sony BRAVIA VPL-HW20 Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

If you like a more refined, easy-on-the-eye image, and tend to prefer films with more natural, textured colour palettes, the VPL-HW20 is well worth considering – but it isn't quite the all-round star performer.

AVForums‘s review Edit

As always with a projector the surroundings that you use make a major impact on the picture performance. In our completely light controlled (black) review room the HW20 offers exceptionally good images at this price point that many of the competing models struggle to match in every department. In the right environment and set up in the best out of the box settings the HW20 offers exceptional accuracy in greyscale and colour performance, which brings movie material to big screen life.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The HW20 marks a triumphant if belated return for Sony’s SXRD projection technology, ushering in enough improvement over the HW15 to comfortably justify the newer model’s £400 price hike, and giving DLP and LCD rivals plenty to think about. It takes work to get pictures looking at their absolute best, but the tools – while unusual – are there to do the job, helping to create a projector that’s as eager to please different needs and tastes as it is excellent.
