ZOTAC GF8300-A-E Pro Reviews

tweaktown‘s review Edit

Overall, we were satisfied with the board. However, we hope to see ZOTAC introduce some better layouts on their next series of boards.

AnandTech‘s review Edit

As for the motherboards we tested for this overview article, the Zotac GF8300 offered very good stock performance but is a no-frills board with a layout that we would like to see improved. Their GF8200 version of this board just hit the retail market for under $70 and we suggest you take a look at it if the items we discussed are not a deal breaker. Zotac builds a high quality budget board with excellent stability; it’s just not flashy or exciting.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Those who have read our review of the GeForce 9300 mGPU will find the GeForce 8300/8100 mGPUs here quite similar. Except for slight differences in clock speeds and the number of shader processors within the IGP, both use the same GeForce 8400 series GPU inside and the limitations of these integrated GPUs are obvious. The latest games like Unreal Tournament 3 are playable only at modest resolutions and settings. Nevertheless, it's a big step forward from past IGP chipsets.
