The screen is so small that it hurts your eyes. The keyboard is also small and difficult to type. Good that it has a camera. It's light compared to a normal notebook. But it's usable because of the small screen.
When people see me with my Acer Aspire One, they laugh. At 6'5'' this computer is clearly a clown car in comparison. But when I pick it up and with one hand can send emails, write documents, and video chat with a friend, their mouths are left gapping.
The Acer Aspire One holds all the capabilities of a computer in a small "near" handheld device. (Emphasis on "near") This makes a great computer to complement to my desktop. I have it all networked together. When I leave for work, I carry my Aspire One, affectionately called "MiniMe," in one hand and coffee in the other. There is nothing more I need.
Unfortunately the computer just does not have the power to run the advanced audio editing programs I use at home, but I run MS Office and an older version of Adobe Audition and Photoshop.
MiniMe is by no means a be-all-end-all of laptop computers, but this is great for going back and forth from home. I have pulled it off the coffee table once, and it wasn't effected one bit. A must for anyone that still has to work on a desktop. I recommend this Acer Aspire One Netbook to anyone that is looking for a computer to travel with you where ever you go.

Great for someone on the go with little need for a super-computer

This seemed like a very good purchase for me at the time. Little did i know the troubles I would be getting myself into. From the box the wifi would only work sporadically. It would take completely shutting the device off for the wifi to work again. According to forums this was a very common problem with this device. Other than the wifi I do like the Aspire One alot its small, portable, and good for what it needs to do. A usb Wifi dongle solved the wifi issues, for only $10. It is a great little netbook just be prepared for the wifi to die on you.
My wife refers to this netbook as the little computer that could. I bought this from VZW when they were selling the netbooks at a discounted rate when you purchased a laptop card. For the price paid and what this laptop does it is amazing. I have a 17" HP that can't keep up even though it has twice the RAM and a faster processor. I have nad ZERO problems with the netbook and have recommended it to many of my friends. They too love the netbook and have recommended it to people they know as well.
I have had my Aspire One A150 for about a year now and I am very happy with it. I have actually never even run it with Win XP - I wiped the HDD immediately and loaded the early Win7 betas, then Win7 RC and now just loaded Win7 Pro over the weekend before the RC1 deadline. I also installed 2gb RAM as soon as I got it and I could not be happier. I have Office2007 installed, run Skype for video chat, etc, and for travel. Mine also came with the 6 cell extended battery and the battery life is great.
Performance: Average. lightning fast when you first get it, but it slows down after you load a couple programs. Mine crashed but I found the solution on youtube.com and now it's working just fine.
