Acer Aspire One 751h Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

One of the better-designed 11.6in netbooks we've seen, it just misses out on an award due to its stiff keyboard and video issues.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The large - for a netbook - 11.6in screen on the Aspire One 751 takes these little laptops in an interesting direction. However, the price is getting uncomfortably close to the point where you can buy a proper laptop with a proper CPU.

AnandTech‘s review Edit

The Acer 751h doesn't radically alter what we expect from a netbook, but one of the sore points we've had with every netbook we've used on a regular basis to date has been the low native resolution.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The stretched display not only offers more screen space, helped by the high 1366x768 resolution, but allows for a normal-sized keyboard which makes typing that much easier. In spite of using the slowest Intel Atom available, the Acer Aspire One 751 did not seem much slower than any other netbook. If lightness and screen size are more important to you than battery life, take a closer look at Acer’s biggest-screen Aspire One 751.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

For $350, with a unique widescreen and full-size keyboard, we can ignore the Acer Aspire One (A0751h)'s slow Atom processor and the crappy mouse buttons.

CrunchGear‘s review Edit

I’ve been excited about this netbook ever since it was announced and, after reading some early reviews, I thought I may have been looking down the barrel of a slow, pokey, disappointing machine. But after a few minor tweaks and upgrades, making peace with the HD video stuff, and a couple weeks of daily use, the Acer Aspire One 751h has quickly become my go-to portable computer — even over my regular laptop.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

To make no small amount of noise about the high-definition resolution of your display and then package it with a processor that can’t keep up its side of the bargain smacks of marketing cynicism. The AO751h-1522 certainly puts in a better showing than the earlier versions, but it’s still far from our first choice of budget ultraportable.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Although it falls short of some of its bolder claims, the Acer Aspire One is still a very good computer, especially if you are going to use it for working whilst on the road.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The increased screen size is welcomed, but there isn't the performance boost to support it, so it still stumbles through HD content. Sure there could be the opportunity to boost the RAM, but it needs to be remembered that this is still a humble netbook.

netbooked.net‘s review Edit

The Acer Aspire One 751 excels in most areas making it an excellent all-round 11.6” mini-netbook. Great bright, high resolution display, excellent sound quality, large keyboard and 5.5-6.5 hours of battery life. The only major downside is the slow Atom Z520 processor.

TechSpot‘s review Edit

With regards to overall form and function, Acer did a nice job with the 751h. You will notice some reflections and glaring in brightly-lit environments due to its glossy screen, but that is a small price to pay for this beauty.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

One notices that the developers really did make up their minds on some details, when it comes to the Aspire One 751. A lot of details that are useful in every-day operating have entered the overall concept, they truly are of additional value. The labeling of the lateral ports visible from top view, the USB ports positioned with sufficient spacing on the left side, and the separate hardware switches for WLAN and Bluetooth are quickly valued.

The Aspire One 751h has one of the better screen-and-keyboard combos we've seen on a netbook, but its performance disappoints.

Acer's 751h is a good-sized netbook that gets marred by a miserable mouse button.

Acer’s first 11-inch netbook offers a bigger screen than the competition and long battery life, but its processor is somewhat slow.

Acer's 11.6-inch Aspire One AO751h might usher in a new standard for Netbook sizes, but the slower-than-usual processor can lead to frustration.
