NOKIA C6-01 Pro Reviews

Softpedia‘s review Edit

Even though the C6-01 is nothing out of the ordinary, the smartphone is definitely better equipped than its competitors. All those Nokia innovative features like ClearBlack screen and USB-on-the-go make it much more appealing than most of the phones in the mid-budget category. The device offers the best value for money, which is a rare thing for a Nokia smartphone that usually tend to be overpriced.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

Nokia fans ought to like ^3, which retains much that is familiar while still managing to add new features. The C6-01 is also a well built phone. It's the kind of handset that ought to see you through till the fruits of the Nokia/Microsoft partnership start to emerge.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

As it happened with the Nokia C7, the C6-01 sees a real threat only within its own family. If you have decided on Symbian, then your choice is between C6-01, C7 or the seriously more expensive N8. Nokia C6-01 is the company’s first smartphone for quite some time that has managed to impress us with its design. If you can forgive the uninspiring camera performance and the few Symbian faults, then C6-01 is a friendly little chap that deserves attention. The one thing we really hope is Nokia fix some of the things we noted throughout the review with the future firmware updates. That would make it a bestseller.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Nokia C6-01 should be commended for a number of reasons - it manages to replicate the experience of the N8 in a much smaller and cheaper package with little difference. For only £15-£20 a month, we can see those looking for a reliable touchscreen phone with decent battery life finding a lot to love with the C6-01 - and others will like the high end features, such as USB on the go. However, it's not the sexiest device on the market at the moment, and in direct comparison, only the camera is superior to cheaper products.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Nokia seems to have settled into a bit of rut, producing decent, dependable, workmanlike handsets which get their various jobs done, but with little flair or fun. The heart of the problem seems to be the Symbian OS, which despite its recent update to 3 status is still clunky and awkward, and several steps behind its rivals. Still, if you’re already a Symbian user, the C6-01 delivers a decent camera and robust build, even if its browsing and social networking skills aren’t up there with the best.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

The Nokia C6-01 should overshadow the C7: it’s cheaper, has much the same functionality and, while smaller, a higher-quality display. The software on both is identical, and on paper the cameras are also the same. However, while the slick, sturdy C7 left us more impressed than we’d expected, the C6-01 proved underwhelming in comparison. The poor hand-feel and tubby chassis belie the solid materials, while the smaller screen left us less inclined to use the phone, even though its video playback abilities are strong.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

As much as performance is on paper good, after a week of using the Nokia C6-01 we couldn't get 'into' it, like we could with the Nokia C7 and N8. The experience is generally hampered by the unpretentious screen size, the phone is too thick, looking like a numeric pad should slide out of the bottom and the weighting is pretty off. On the plus, it does offer a huge array of connectivity options, fantastic video codec support, as well as a vibrant and deep image quality, thanks to the AMOLED and CBD technologies
