Simply one of the best mechanical keyboards we’ve had the pleasure to use.

The Thermaltake eSports Meka G1 has demonstrated outstanding performance in both gaming and typing. While Cherry MX Black Switches do not provide an additional tactile response, the sensitivity of the keys and super fast actuation rate make this keyboard a top choice for any gamer. The level of comfort that this keyboard provides clearly supports this statement. Cylindrical keycap design, as well as the armrest, clearly support the hand and allow for the minimization of the finger movement during typing.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Overall, the Thermaltake Meka G1 is a pretty good deal and a fine keyboard if you prefer the non-tactile feel of Cherry Black switches. But if you want to recreate the clicky, half-press resistance of the mechanical keys from 20 years ago, you’ll want to look elsewhere.

With top of the line construction, gaming oriented features, and an overall brilliant design; I can say that Thermaltake has a great product on their hand.

Compact, simple, to the point and robust. Those are adjectives that come swiftly to mind when we analyze the Meka G1 keyboard from Thermaltake, a peripheral made to last hours of gameplay and that comes lacking most of the bells and whistles from the competion: there are neither programmable keys nor a backlighting feature.

overclockersclub‘s review Edit

I must say this keyboard is a beast but in a good way. It has a very solid build and makes typing and gaming on it a pleasure. The feedback on the keys makes hitting the right ones easier and alleviates mistakes or leaving you wondering if you actually pressed the key or not. I was really pleased with the spacing and design of the individual keys as well because it kept me from hitting double keys with my fat fingers. I was pleased with the onboard USB hub not only with speed but the ability to power a thumb drive which the comparison keyboard failed to do. This makes using removable drives simpler without having to reach down to the back of a case for access. You can also use the hub to power your mouse and USB headset for those long frag sessions.

The MEKA G1 is a very good keyboard and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone, not just for gaming but for everyday use as it will last as long as the paint on the keys and will still keep going afterwards, whereas your standard rubber dome keyboard will have curled up and died and met its maker a long long time before.
