Epson STYLUS SX425W Pro Reviews

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

This is one of the cheapest models in Epson’s Stylus range, but the SX425W still produces very high quality text, graphics and photos.

In all, this cheap printer-scanner does the job, but between the poor paper handling, slow photo prints and relatively poor photo print quality, we'd recommend the more expensive SX525WD instead.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Considering its budget price tag, the SX425W is attractively styled and immaculately finished. Performance and quality are more than acceptable for document printing, but while mono running costs are reasonable, colour inks are a bit expensive. Smudge-proof printing is the printer's stand-out feature but Wi-Fi is another bonus at the price.

Great quality and reasonable print costs are let down only by somewhat slow speeds and poor draft quality, but it's perfect if time isn't of the essence.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

There are good and bad points to the Stylus SX425W. Its feature set is impressive for a machine in this price bracket, with a colour LCD display, wireless connection and memory card slots. Running costs are also good in comparison with most of its competitors, but print speeds are low, whatever it may say on the box, and print quality isn't as good as rivals from Canon and HP, or even Kodak and Lexmark.
