Sony Bloggie MHS-TS20 Pro Reviews

Macworld‘s review Edit

If you're looking to buy a pocket camcorder that is sleek, attractive, and easy to use, then you couldn't go wrong with the Bloggie Touch. You'll find other pocket camcorders that produce better video image quality, however.

PC Pro‘s review Edit

The latest Sony Bloggie is a lovely piece of kit. It’s fun and generally easy to use; it’s extremely well-made; and it shoots great quality 1080p video. And with a price that’s not too expensive, we reckon it’s a pretty darned good buy.

If you're looking for a simple shoot-and-share minicamcorder, the Bloggie Touch is a good option--that is, as long as you understand its limitations.

The Sony Bloggie Touch is my number one pocket HD camcorder on the Technology Holiday Buyer's Guide for a reason. There is currently no better pocket camcorder on the market. With the Bloggie Touch, Sony combines an attractive design, firm build and a large and responsive touch display with great image quality and solid shooting performance. The new and improved Bloggie Touch software and Personal Spaces are icing on the cake. There is room for improvement, however. The mic placement baffles me, and the Bloggie Touch is missing what I consider necessary accessories (carrying bag, microfiber cloth).

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Sony Bloggie Touch is something of a mixed offering. We like the fact that Sony have sensibly applied a large screen that you can use in landscape to capture the action. Overall the screen has been put to better use that the chief rival, the Kodak Playtouch. The quality of video captured is also excellent for such a small device and the Full HD test videos that we shot withstood viewing on a large screen.

Sony has still managed to give it some features that could lure you away. For a start, the much larger sensor means image quality in low light will be significantly better. But the 360-degree attachment is also unique. This may be an expensive proposition for a pocket Internet camcorder, but it performs the task well, and the wraparound shots add an extra layer of fun.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Despite a few design quirks, the Sony Bloggie Touch MHS-TS20 is a definite improvement over its non-touchscreen-equipped predecessor, the Bloggie MHS-CM5 pocket camcorder. It's capable of taking very attractive video and is ultra-stylish to boot.
