Motorola Defy - Is it any good?

Hello guys, i'm planning on getting this phone because I really like its looks, ruggednes and Android OS. Does anyone know if it is futerproof, I mean will it get any new updates v2.2 or 2.3. Is the hardware enaugh for the next couple of years, etc. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.

Level 2 I can't understand why Motorola haven't recall their products from the market, when they know it's a manufacturer flaw?

Level 2 I have Defy and it had the same problem. After I gave it for repair it work perfect :)

Level 6 Yeah I got mine back from the Moto service center and so far so good, everything works, I just hope it won't die on me again.

p.s. I wonder if it still is waterproof.
