Motorola MILESTONE 2 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

Great battery life, decent storage and a clear interface, but performance is poor and the keyboard's flat keys aren't the best we've used.

If you are not chasing the latest and best smartphones in the market, the Motorola Milestone 2 is worthy of consideration, especially if you prefer typing on a physical keyboard and do not expect to use its camera heavily.

The Motorola Milestone 2 is a giant step forward from the original Milestone. Social media fans will find it particularly alluring, but if you're new to that side of things, there may be a learning curve to deal with.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

Great phones are never good at just one thing. The Motorola MILESTONE 2 can do a lot and it can do it right for a lot of different users. The comfortable keyboard and full set of messaging features will appeal to business users. The social networking support will please the social buff and the sturdy metallic frame and scratch-resistant display will be appreciated by all. There’re not many negative things to say about the hardware – we didn’t quite like the slider and the 8GB of internal memory being limited to apps but that’s it.

Good software, but the keyboard isn't very good and battery life is poor

It's a bit of a brick, but the Milestone 2 is packed with good things, including the latest Android 2.2 OS, a fine Qwerty keyboard, a good 5Mp camera and Motoblur, which becomes addictive very quickly. But if you can handle the weight, and can live with the battery life (or don't mind cutting back on some features to stretch it out), the Milestone 2 really comes very close to both HTC's Desire and the iPhone 4.

Fast, well made with a good camera and music player, the Milestone 2 deserves to find itself a place in many a pocket.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Motorola Milestone 2 doesn’t do anything especially wrong, but we feel that it could be better. A lot comes down to the service that you get from Motoblur. It’s great to see so many services covered, but there seems to be too many dead ends. Iron these little quirks out and the Motoblur experience would become more natural and more complete. As it is there are stacks of features and you get the advantages of a phone that deals with all the great Android apps without issue – it gives you Flash video, it works with Skype, all the features of Google Maps 5 work, for example.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

To wrap up, we’re very fond of the Motorola MILESTONE 2. It's a good solid phone, but unfortunately not a great one. With the negatives mainly being MOTOBLUR's hard-wired integration and the keyboard being a touch flat for our taste

The Motorola Milestone 2 features some welcome improvements on Motorola’s original handset. Faster and with even more useful functions, for both business and social networking, the Milestone 2 is a great smartphone.
