ASUS EeeTop PC ET2002 Pro Reviews

SlashGear‘s review Edit

However, the ASUS Eee Top ET2002-B024C is arguably more attractive than either a separate tower and display, or the Studio One 19 for that matter, and it delivers an impressive blast of local HD video playback with the promise of more to come. As it stands it would do a decent job as a second PC;

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Asus Eee Top ET2002 holds its own against some of the contenders here thanks to its solid network connections and HDMI connectivity, but it’s still a mid-ranking option.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

In many ways, the Asus Eee Top ET2002 is an impressive machine. You get a dual-core Atom processor and NVIDIA Ion graphics as well as a large, crisp display in a sleek, space-saving, all-in-one design. Users who are considering an all-in-one such as the ET2002 shouldn't expect gaming-system type performance from the ET2002. But considering this, the ET2002 handled a variety of tasks effectively.

The first Nvidia Ion-equipped desktop we've seen, the Eee Top can do more than most budget all-in-one PCs, though it can’t handle more than light gaming.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Nvidia's Ion graphics chip gives the Asus Eee Top ET2002 better-than-average video performance for a Nettop, but that does little to spare this system from its weak overall performance and the variety of competitive, more well-rounded alternatives for low-cost video and gaming. Nettops might be competitive someday, but for now this category as a whole is a disappointment.

Liliputing‘s review Edit

ET2002 is one of the first all-in-one computers from Asus to feature NVIDIA ION graphics, so while the ET2002’s basic components aren’t that different from those found in a typical netbook, the computer can handle HD video and some other high performance graphics tasks.

Geek‘s review Edit

Today few people need, or even want, a standard desktop computer. Significant gains in hardware performance and the move of so much of what we do to the internet has resulted in a situation where a laptop computer is more than enough for most people. But if you don’t plan on moving your computer around then the all-in-one category gives you the convenience of a laptop but some advantages of a desktop, most importantly a larger display. A nettop, like the EeeTop PC ET2002, is basically a netbook-version of an all-in-one. This typically means that it’s powered by an Atom processor and it’s affordable.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

ASUS carries its experience and success from netbooks into the nettop market with its attractive, dual core powered, all-in-one ASUS Eee Top ET2002; however, it's not enough to trump the Lenovo C300, the current EC in this category.
