Samsung Wave 723 Pro Reviews

ITreviews‘s review Edit

There are a lot of mobiles hovering around this price, and the lack of expandability via add-on applications is a real problem. If we were choosing a phone at this price, we'd be tempted to opt for something running Android instead.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

So that's about it. The Samsung Wave 723 is a promising and stylish full touch handset, with its main disadvantage being the poor screen. What's more the starting price of 300 euro is too hefty for its feature set and we suspect it should go down to 200 euro to really make a splash in the affordable smartphones segment.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

A bare-bones smartphone, the Samsung Wave 723’s biggest problem is a question of timing. It’s available for free on cheap contracts, but so are plenty of arguably more attractive budget Androids like the HTC Wildfire and Orange San Francisco, while the original and far superior Samsung Wave isn’t lagging far behind price-wise either.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

There are a few places where the Samsung Wave 723 lets itself down. Although it is a budget handset, and some compromises can be accepted, it’s the strength of the competition that really leaves the Wave struggling for air. It covers most bases and we found that it was a respectable phone to use, displaying better than average build quality for its price, but it isn’t exciting. Bada seems considered in the core offering, but with Android updating and developing quickly, we suspect that Bada will never be able to keep up.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Samsung Wave 723 is a fair enough handset, with a good-looking user interface and some nice features. But underneath all that lies an operating system that is not easily expanded with third-party applications. As it stands at the moment, we have to wonder who would choose Bada over Android or Apple? The £200 mark is arguably the most competitive in the whole smartphone sector and Samsung needs to work harder on Bada to make it a success against very hot competition.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Samsung has created a pretty compelling mid-rangе bada device with the Samsung Wave 723. Some elements like web browsing and stability are still rough around the edges in Samsung's mobile OS, but it shows good promise. If only Samsung could speed up applications development, it will have decent alternative to the major mobile operating systems in the low- to mid-range smartphones, where bada was intended for.
