LACIE Ethernet Disk mini Pro Reviews

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The combination of LaCie's hardware and Axentra's software is good if you want a cheap media-serving and Web-sharing solution, but not so good for those wanting fast performance, data redundancy, and tighter integration with Windows.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Even with the setup snags, we liked the LaCie Ethernet Disk Mini Home Edition server. Its media sharing and remote access features are easy to manage and use. However, if you're interested in more-complete PC system backups, advanced remote access features (such as a remote desktop), and the ability to expand your network by adding extra drives, you'll have to dig deeper into your pockets for another product, such as HP's MediaSmart Home Server.

This LaCie NAS is a very stylish unit, and it's positionable horizontally or vertically. It's also good value at 32p per gigabyte.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

This high-capacity, solidly-made, quick device does all that most people at home would want of a network server, even though it's only billed as a disk drive. It backs up and mirrors data with a built-in scheduler and serves photos, music and video. It also provides remote access to files through a secure Web connection. Great value.

The LaCie Ethernet Disk mini - Home Edition's Internet file-sharing is easy to use and works great. This network-attached-storage device is a bit less effective on a local network, but it offers decent performance and features.
