Samsung Continuum Pro Reviews

brighthand‘s review Edit

There's a lot to like about the Samsung Continuum, especially if you're more of a texter and a surfer than a talker. While the voice quality tests were somewhat disappointing, and there was a weird crash when I first tried to set up Wi-Fi, the phone performed very well in all other respects. It has a slim shape and a light weight so it's easy to hold, it has two great Super AMOLED displays, and it responds to my every tap very quickly. Samsung Continuum from VerizonMy only major concern is the voice quality, but in all other respects the Continuum is truly excellent.

Phone Scoop‘s review Edit

I have no problem recommending this phone as a convenient, fun device for social networking fans. The camera takes great pictures, and most of the features really deliver. But this isn't a superphone like the rest of the Galaxy S lineup, so if you're looking for a top notch Android experience, you'll be happier elsewhere.

MacNN‘s review Edit

The real audience for the Continuum is arguably that middle crowd in smartphones: it's for the person who can afford a smartphone and appreciates some flexibility but is perfectly happy with whatever comes in the box. For that person, other than the possible interface troubles for large-handed users on the smaller screen, we can’t think of anything to gripe about. It's a better choice than the Fascinate in most areas. Sometimes, it's just about getting the right phone for yourself, not for everyone.

Macworld‘s review Edit

If you like to be constantly in the loop with your news feeds and social networks, you might find the ticker display useful. Once we pared down our feeds, we certainly did-and we loved the fact that we could control our music via the display. And on top of that, the main display is compromised to make room for it. It is simply too cramped to comfortably type long messages so if you plan on doing a lot of texting or e-mailing from your phone, the Continuum is not for you.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Samsung Continuum's secondary display has potential, but the software on this petite Android smartphone needs some fine-tuning.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

Samsung has pushed the Android envelope with the Continuum. The ticker not only saves time; it can also help you kill time. However, you'll sacrifice both performance and screen real estate versus other $199 smart phones, including the 4-inch Samsung Fascinate and the 4.3-inch Droid X. We also wish that you didn't have to enter account information more than once for services such as Facebook and Twitter. Nevertheless, the Continuum represents a solid effort and will appeal to information junkies on the go.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

I like the Continuum, particularly because the secondary display is unique and can be useful should you need quick access to the news, weather, or updates, without having to unlock the phone. Personally, I don't need to access most of that information so badly that I can't unlock the phone. I think there's a lot of potential here, though, and it will be exciting to see what Samsung and developers can come up with.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

To put it lightly, being the newer handset on the block seemingly has its benefits as it provides manufacturers the opportunity to make corrections and improvements to currently existing handsets on the market. And with that in mind, it's the solid reason why the Samsung Continuum is the better choice as it establishes some improved performance in some key areas over the Fascinate.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

More than just a gimmick, the Samsung Continuum's secondary display is a useful management and multitasking tool, but its constant flow of information might not appeal to everybody.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

With all things considered, there’s a lot to like about the Samsung Continuum – the dual Super AMOLED displays, fast 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 5MP autofocus camera with 720p video recording, superb music and video playback, and excellent call quality and reception.
