BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 Pro Reviews

brighthand‘s review Edit

BlackBerry Curve 3G from VerizonThe BlackBerry Curve 3G not flashy or revolutionary, and doesn't include top-of-the-line features, but it is a great refresher of a classic. The Curve has always been the smartphone equivalent of the Toyota Camry -- reliable, durable, cheap, but decidedly boring. The styling updates are welcome, as is the addition of Wi-Fi and 3G. The lack of BlackBerry OS 6.0 and camera flash are significant detractors. The BlackBerry Curve 9330 strikes me as more of a fit for corporate user who can upgrade their previous generation Curve. It's unclear why a personal consumer would purchase this rather than say the Tour.

The Blackberry Curve 3G is at the bottom of RIM's range but still manages to pack in a useful range of features, including HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS along with the standard Blackberry messaging expertise. The screen and camera are the main indicators of its budget origins but overall it's a good, solid, introduction to Blackberry smart phones.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

It’s almost not fair to review the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 right now. The main reason it was brought to market was because it is BlackBerry OS 6 compatible, otherwise it’s just a slightly better Curve 8530. Even in its current state it is better than the 8530 though, so at least there are some improvements like better feel, a faster processor, more memory and an improved trackpad. As it stands the Curve 3G 9330 is a great entry-level BlackBerry that only stands to get better once it receives an OS upgrade.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

For 30 bucks, the Curve 3G has some things going for it, including a very comfortable keyboard that you can type fast on, quick access to e-mail, and long battery life. None of these benefits are particularly exciting, especially compared to supercharged smart phones like the Droid 2, which combines a physical keyboard with a much better browsing and app experience. However, if you want to keep things simple and don't have a lot of money to spend up front, the Curve 3G is a pretty good value.

Despite its entry-level status, the RIM BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 is a decent smartphone for the price.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Overall, we are quite pleased with the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330, and its low $29.99 price with a 2-year contract is budget friendly for those looking to get into the world of BlackBerry without having to spend a lot. It does have a few improvements from the previous model, most notably the faster processor, but we wish that it came with a higher resolution screen and BlackBerry OS 6 out of the box. Though this doesn’t take away from what it does offer, and the QWERTY keyboard is nice for messaging.
