XFX PV-T84J-UDD3 Pro Reviews

www.pcper.com‘s review Edit

XFX has come up with a pair of excellent graphics cards for the 8600-series and their "XXX" series. The XFX GeForce 8600 GTS XXX offers the highest clock and memory frequencies but the XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX stole the show with high clock speeds, lower prices and superior performance compared to other 8600 cards. Separating the two though, the 8600 GT model is still my favorite pick of the two as it has a better price and is able to outperform the similarly priced competition from ATI by a larger margin.

HEXUS‘s review Edit

The DX10-toting GeForce 8600 GT is a comfortable step ahead of its immediate predecessor, the GeForce 7600GT. A unified shading architecture, tighter quality specification, and potential performance weapons such as the introduction of a geometry shader, make it an attractive GPU for those looking to future-proof themselves as much as one can in the midrange space.

The XFX is a bit like a dog with rabies, all crazy looking (great performance) but not a lot to look at (small package). It comes out the gate growling and just wants to perform as much as possible. Then when you overclock it is like taking the dog off its leash.
