Logitech G930 Pro Reviews

gadgetreview‘s review Edit

So the Logitech G930 Headset offers great sound, booming bass (which was surprise), significant positional audio and great clarity even in a game like BF3 where a cacophony of sounds converge and vie for an ear’s attention. I was even commended on the mic clarity. Battery life will tap out at about 8-10 hours depending on range and usage. Speaking of which the range is about average. Not as far reahcing as the the Skullcandy set… But it approximately matches that of the Astro A50, Creative Vengeance 2000 and the Creative Tactical Recon 3D. Of those the Creative set is the superior offering with the Astro A50 and the Logitech Unit sharing a heated 2nd place. Third I give to Corsair. Audio performance is quite amazing on each of these. But features and durability hamper the Corsair and A50 set.

The G930′s are available as one of three new G Series gaming tools Logitech has recently released into the wild. In the very near future I’ll also be reviewing the G510 LCD keyboard and the G700 Wireless mouse, so stay tuned.

Engadget‘s review Edit

Finishing up a lengthy test, we went right back to our aging Logitech MX518 mouse and Grado cans, and found them just as comfortable and pleasing to use as before -- they're not broken, and until they are we wouldn't spend nearly what Logitech's asking for the G930 and G700. But we do already miss the extra buttons and superb wireless sound. If you're due for an upgrade, only the slightly steep price, middling battery life and your-mileage-may-vary comfort concerns keep these both from being must-owns.

The Logitech G930 Wireless Gaming Headset is perfect for those looking for a 7.1 surround sound experience and wireless connectivity. The battery really does last up to 10 hours at reasonable volume levels, though the charging time is incredibly long if charged while in use. The G930 has excellent directional sound for 5.1/7.1 audio, and even the emulated 7.1 surround sound is good most of the time. Compared to competitors such as Razer, the Logitech G930 offers comparable or better audio experience thanks to integrated Dolby Headphone technology. Stereo sound quality is excellent, too. There is no wired state for the G930, but that's not a problem as the wireless experience is lag-free and can reach distances up to 40 ft. The only slight weakness is limited bass enhancements.
