Macworld‘s review Edit

Despite its somewhat high price, the Epson Artisan 835 is worth considering for its wealth of features and impressive performance. Only its grayish text on plain paper and lower-capacity input tray keep it from being as well suited for office use as it is for photo work.

PC World‘s review Edit

The Epson Artisan 835 is the company's flagship, photo-oriented color inkjet multifunction (print/copy/scan/fax). Although it isn't specifically designed for office use (as is Epson's WorkForce line), the Artisan 835 has nearly every feature a home-office user could want and then some, making its $300 price (as of October 3, 2010) justifiable, if still dear. A wealth of features make this unit nearly as well suited for family or home office users as it is for photo enthusiasts.

printercomparison‘s review Edit

So what's the catch? An initial $299.99 price tag for the hardware and costly ink replacements (around $100 for six high capacity 98 ink cartridges). Although this is a common theme for flagship photo all-in-one printers with more than four individual ink cartridges, it doesn't mean it can't knock the overall value down slightly in the eyes of a consumer in our slow economy. Still, the Artisan 835 is worth considering if you are in the market for an all-in-one photo printer with quick print speeds and outstanding photo quality.
