Palit GeForce 9600GT Sonic (512MB) Pro Reviews

ITreviews‘s review Edit

A great performing mid-range card at a really good price, with the added attraction of having just about every display port you could ever wish for.

If you prefer a lot of performance, you should go with the super-quiet Sparkle Calibre. If you can live with a little less speed, but want to have HDMI and DisplayPort, you should buy the Palit Sonic version. The MSI Hybrid Freezer is a nice gimmick, but you can get a 9800 GTX for the same money. If you are interested in having a silent HTPC, you might want to take a look at the Asus card; the cooler is solid, and only under full load conditions does it require a slight air flow.

This card really sets the benchmark for the 9600GT and it’s going to be hard to beat. Palit have done an excellent job of the card and no doubt it’s going to be the card of choice for anyone who wants a card that offers an all round experience that covers everything from outputs to out of the box performance. The Palit 9600GT Sonic is probably going to be the card for you!

While the 1GB of memory really does very little for us for the most part, if you find yourself wanting the large amount of memory along with a cool running card and more connectivity then you can poke a stick at, the Palit 9600GT (Super) Sonic 1GB is the card for you. We don’t doubt for a second that it will disappoint.
