Palit GeForce GT 240 (512MB GDDR5) Pro Reviews

www.pcper.com‘s review Edit

The Galaxy GeForce GT 240 is the best option for a lowest-cost, lowest power/heat HTPC ready card that has some modest gaming potential. If you are looking for a card that will offer all the same features but maybe will give you a slightly improved gaming experience and can handle another $30 or so onto the cost of your system, the GDDR5-based Palit GeForce GT 240 should fit the bill.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Where performance is concerned, the GeForce GT 240 is both a hit and miss. Despite claims that it will outperform the GeForce 9600 GT, we found that the older SKU is still fairly competitive. All things considered, it's not looking good for the new GeForce GT 240, because frankly speaking, it doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Tom's Hardware‘s review Edit

Palit has the distinction of selling the only launch-ready GeForce GT 240 with a full gigabyte of GDDR5 RAM, with factory-overclocked GPU, shader, and memory clocks to boot. While the performance advantage of the extra RAM isn't always significant, there will be folks interested in the long-term prospects of having the extra memory on-board (some game settings simply require the extra memory). For these buyers, Palit's Sonic Edition is a favorable GeForce GT 240 option right now.

tweaktown‘s review Edit

This seems to be a bit of a trade off for the high out of the box speeds; there's no doubt that if you want a fast out of the box GT 240, the 1GB GDDR5 model from Palit is the best option.
